Photographing animals is one of my favorite hobbies. Few feelings compare to when you capture a unique and special moment with your camera. It makes it even more fun when you get to share it with others who are just as passionate about animals. I hope you enjoy scrolling through these photos from my day in La Jolla!
In La Jolla, sea lions like to spend their time basking in the sun and surfing in the waves. Fun fact: A group of sea lions on land is called a colony, while a group of sea lions in the water is called a raft.
How many different species can you find in the picture below? I see sea lions, seagulls, and a pelican, oh my!
Solo strolls are good for the soul.
You know what else is good for the soul? Sea lion babies!

Being a tourist in your own city can be so much fun. San Diego in particular has endless places to explore. La Jolla is a BEAUTIFUL area of San Diego with such a diverse array of marine life. I’d love to explore La Jolla even more on a kayaking or snorkeling excursion. If you get the chance, I highly recommend spending a day in La Jolla connecting with and learning about all the native wildlife.
